Call or write to your elected officials telling them you support “Net Metering” and “Feed in Tariff” rules that pay a fair price per kilowatt hour and allow individuals to connect their renewable electricity generation systems such as solar, wind, biomass and hydro projects, to the local electric distribution grid.
Distributed renewable generation of this type is efficient because energy is produced where it is used, it reduces the need for large ugly distribution lines, it keeps jobs and skills local, and increases energy security.
Your elected officials at all levels need to hear this message.
